JADE (Just Another Application Deployment Environment)

What is JADE ?

JADE is a set of tools, to deploy applications in a network.

Why JADE ?

JADE is the result of my trainee at the UAG (Université Antilles Guyane) in April and May 2005.
The trainee goal, was to compare existant deployment solutions (cost and usage), and finally, adopt or develop a solution for the college. As explained in the report, we have created our own solution: JADE.

How does it work ?

JADE is divided into 2 parts: With the administration interface, you can administrate your computers groups, your deployements and so on ...
The clients connect to a database in order to get informations about the installs/upgrades/removals they have to do.
